A4 4462 Great Snipe is seen in this prewar view at New Southgate on a heavy looking express.this engine was renumbered E4 under the LNER 1946 scheme and finally 60004 under british railways.it was also renamed in 1941 as William Whitelaw a director of the london north eastern railway.new in sep 1937 and withdrawn in 1965.
