622

Produced from 19871996, the Model 622 was the company’s entry into the lucrative mid-priced rimfire pistol market. The Smith Wesson 622 has a unique barrel design. The barrel resides in the lower half of the barrel assembly, while the slide and recoil spring ride above the barrel. The breech block extends from the slide down into the gun’s frame where it aligns with the barrel in the lower half of the assembly. The SW 622 features the same alloy frame and barrel as the 422 but in a silver colored frame with a stainless steel slide.
